Hello beautiful people! If you saw my stories last week, then you know GLO Science gifted me one of their awesome whitening kits. This whitening kit is truly like no other! Before we dive into things, all opinions are my own. Since I only had a week to use this product, I will not be sharing the results or a full review. This post will mainly serve as an introduction to the brand, and how my first experience was with using it!

What is the GLO Lit Kit?
The GLO Kit is a revolutionary approach to teeth whitening! It’s the only teeth whitening system that uses accelerating warming heat and LED light technology for faster results without sensitivity. And just to be clear, it is not a UV light!
You are able to connect to a GLO Whitening app to customize, guide and track your treatment right from your phone!
The kit is super simple and easy to use. Plug the mouth piece into the charging port. Paint the patented GLO Vial whitening gel directly onto your teeth. Pop in your mouth piece, and start whitening!

This whitening system is safe and won’t cause any teeth sensitivity. It is free of alcohol and carbamide peroxide. It is even safe to swallow. The gel is Vegan, Gluten-free, Cruelty-free, Latex free, recyclable, and made in the USA.
As I had mentioned, an app is available for you to control and customize your own whitening program!
The GLO Kit will work on crowns, bridges, veneers and other dental work. You can control how white your teeth get by choosing how often you use the kit. Each session is 8 minutes, and it’s recommended to do 3 back to back. I know that sounds like a lot of effort, and it kind of is. But the system is so easy to use, so it’s a breeze.
The best thing about this kit is that it’s a Class 1 Medical Device and has been registered with the FDA.
My First Impressions
The GLO Kit definitely comes with everything you need. When I found out this kit was Vegan and cruelty-free I got so excited! I have been trying to make all my beauty and hygiene products cruelty-free since 2019.
I love the revolutionary packaging of the gel pods. The seal allows the ingredients to stay air-tight, and it doesn’t seem to leak. I like how the gel is designed to be brushed directly on your teeth. It so much easier than dealing with strips that don’t stay on your teeth. Also, I hate when I have to fill trays with whitening gel because it gets messy and I drool a lot LOL. The design of this kit creates minimal mess, and I didn’t really drool.
The process seems pretty simple and the directions are clear. The only things I see as “pain points” are the amount of sessions it recommends in a row. It says to do three 8 minute sessions one after the other. This sounds a little time consuming. Also, because there is a cord hanging from your mouth you cannot shower while you whiten. The charging port always needs to be charged. With all the electronics in my life (Air Pods, Bluetooth speaker, phone, Fitbit, laptop, light-up phone case, etc) this is another thing I will need to remember to keep charged.
As a blogger I have so many apps on my phone. The last thing I wanted to do was download another just to track my whitening progress. Don’t get me wrong, I think the app is pretty cool but I don’t think it is necessarily needed. You can use this kit without using the app, if you want. The LED mouthpiece does have a timer, and will flash Blue when each session is going to end.
The gel has a light mint flavor, which I like. Other whitening gels I’ve previously tried taste like straight up chemicals. It was nice to feel like what I was putting in my mouth was actually safe!
I am excited to see what the future holds for my smile! I can’t wait to have pearly white teeth for summer! I will be honest and say I am not a consistent teeth whitener. I will usually do it for two weeks then stop for a while. I like that this kit allows me to control how often I want to whiten.
