Today I am 28! What?! Yup, it\u2019s my birthday! Not only am I turning the page on another year of celebrating life, but also a whole new chapter along with it!! Turning 28 comes with some really big milestones for me. My <strong>first<\/strong> blog post (duh) being one of them! It\u2019s a little scary but a whole lot of thrilling all wrapped into one. I am so glad I get to share this moment with all of you!<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-119\" src=\"http:\/\/smiledarlingblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/thumbnail-4.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smiledarlingblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/thumbnail-4.jpeg 512w, https:\/\/smiledarlingblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/thumbnail-4-240x300.jpeg 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Starting a blog was something I have been toying with for quite sometime, but I never acted on it. I never knew where to actually start, and I was worried what people were going to think. But that is just the thing. I was worried about what others would think, and that was keeping me from pursuing something that could be really awesome. So, what changed? <em>A big mind shift! <\/em><\/p>\n<p>The last 6 months have really shaped me into the person I am now. I dealt with some <strong>tough<\/strong> stuff. I literally hit rock bottom, and most of it was from being my own worst enemy. I now see where my faults laid. But what felt like the ultimate breaking point for me, turned out to be the best thing in the world! I really started to focus on my needs and stopped worrying about those around me. And soon, I started to flourish mentally. Smiling all the time, being cheerful effortlessly and genuinely. Just being back to the old me, the girl I thought I had lost so long ago. It gave me courage to start my blog, Smile Darling.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-138\" src=\"http:\/\/smiledarlingblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/thumbnail-9.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"512\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"https:\/\/smiledarlingblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/thumbnail-9.jpeg 512w, https:\/\/smiledarlingblog.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/03\/thumbnail-9-240x300.jpeg 240w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 512px) 100vw, 512px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>But enough of the sappy details, this is an exciting time and another milestone. This year I am celebrating all my personal accomplishments. I am celebrating all the people in my life who love me and stood by me. Life can be crazy and messy at times, but I feel tremendously positive about this new age of 28.
